Are there two sets of Ten Commandments?
In Exodus 20:2-17 and Deuteronomy 5:6-21 are listed the classical Ten Commandments that most people know about. But in Exodus 34:10-26 is a list of ten or so seemingly random commands, Exodus 34:28 indicates that these are also referred to as the Ten Commandments. So what gives? Are these two different versions of the Ten Commandments?
Evidence for an early gospel - Simon of Cyrene
One piece of evidence for an early dating of the Gospels are found in all of the synoptic gospels, Simon of Cyrene. When Jesus is being led to his execution, Simon is forced to help him carry his cross.
Throughout the Old Testament, Jehovah appears physically and visually to his servants. The concept of Jehovah as a God that is both beyond our world yet at the same time decidedly present in it was well known to ancient Jews. These following scriptures show examples of when Jehovah appears visually or physically to his people in a human form.
In the New Testament, the Bible applies attributes and titles to Jesus that the Old Testament applies to Jehovah. Many of these are unique attributes and titles that only God could have.
Changes in the New World Translation
The Watchtower corporation boasts that the New World Translation is the best and most accurate Bible translation. They say they have translated it to convey the correct meaning. But when scrutinized it turns out that the New World Translation team has both added, removed and changed words and phrases to fit their own doctrines. This is condemned in scripture as a serious sin. (Deuteronomy 4:2; Proverbs 30:5,6; Revelation 22:18,19)
